  • Experience as appears on the Hero screen (my best toon has 813k);
  • Total faction accrued (my best has 4191);
  • Fame (mine is 171);
  • Rank (mine is 2);
  • The ratio of unlocked skills to total skills (don't know);
  • Gross experience gained by ALL characters (even the ones you delete).

I don't think it's fair for a PvPer to be hailed because he is rank 6 with 500k experience, and I'm rank two with 813k.

What do YOU think is a good measurement?
Experiance is accumulated by Pve NOT pvp , I measure by ranking simply because it determines how much they have won in tombs faction cannot be determined because they could be lieing ( faction is spread across characters just like ranking)

-amazon pvp

You're ticked because I called you on the carpet about being rude to me when it was uncalled for. I gave back what I got from you plus some. My language was no more necessary than your rudeness. And to appease your apparent sensitivity, I censored my post. Happy?

- 0 Rank because you don't get any Rank in Arenas
- a membership in a great guild that will be completely unknown to anyone else outside the guild because we're PvE focused.
- put 4 characters through Ascension without getting rushed through anything - which doesn't mean anything to PvP
- 750 hours of gaming experience which again don't show whether I am competent or have been doing BS all that time.

So, if I ever wanted to go to Tombs, nobody would take me into their team, right?

How do you actually start Tombs when you are new to it???
well see clearly you arent exprianced in tombs, so duh i doubt you can use one of these 'tests' to prove you are (which you arent)

and it really isnt that to find a group, just make sure you have vent/ts and you can get started in no time. its not like every group makes sure you are rank 3+

mostly the guild they are in or how well that group has played when we have gvg'ed them, fame means nothing and neither does tombs.

everything can be farmed ... exp ... faction ... fame ... I have over 2.2 million xp with my farmer ... doesn't make me a good player. Hours played probably close to 900 (and yes I work full time) ... doesn't mean I know what I am doing. This is just an example. Dio is kinda right though, people will recognize you the more you play .. but this isn't necessarily the case for those that change their pvp names as often as the tide turns.

my best bet is to do the following ...

1. ask if they have Vent and/or TS ... anyone serious enough about team and tombs will have it accessible, although this isn't the deciding factor. It just gives you the ability to communicate further before starting. Talk before entering. Get a feel for the person, teh STOOPID 11!!one!one1's will often show face here. If they say things like gogogogo hit enter!!! hit enter! let's go come on ... I hit it alright ... the nice big kick button above the enter.

Whenever someone says "what skills/elite/stats are you bringing" I just say "what do you want me to bring, honey?" That keeps me in almost every team for as long as I want ^^

Lol! Actually, I'm not angry at all. I was offended by your unnecessary rudeness. Finding something offensive is nowhere near the same thing as becoming emotionally involved with it to the point of anger. I'm also not a "dude", at least not the last time I checked. I'm very much female. As for 7th grade "leet talk", you're the only one I see using "leet". And I passed through 7th grade, oh about 18 years ago. I'll bet I have a few years on you, young pup.

Well if you see a warrior in full knight's or ascalon, it gives you a general idea of how much knowledge they have of the game.

I usually find the time during the picking up of other players is the best way. Try to get a conversation going about something just to see if they're listening. I find the talkative ones tend to play a little better, since they can usually do it during the fight. I also tend to ask "Is anyone bringing a hex removal spell" or "monk, what is your life total"...

No one is perfect in this game. Merely a matter of who is capable of minimizing those imperfections that many of us have.

I don't judge people, I see if they're the right material for my team. If they are lacking, I tell them to butt off so there's room for other people.
I've met players who are silent and kick ass. I've met players who are silent for the reason they are incompetant.
I've met players who are loud (I myself usually fall under this category) and kick ass (humility aside, I have my moments ). I've met players who are loud and are complete idiots.
A reprise on my last statement, I'm sure you all have seen this: "GROOP OF RANK 4S MAKIING GROOP 4 TOMBS NEED 3 MONKS"

In short, you can't judge a book by it's cover. Sometimes you need to play with the person in order to know if they're decent players.
I have seen people with lacking grammar skills be extremely competant team players, and I have seen people with excellent grammar decide they're above the group the moment we encounter an obstacle that happened to take us off guard. (Face it, not everybody has played every part of the game. By now I am talking about PvP and PvE.)

I friend-list players who are not in my guild who display competance and the like. I have even offered them a place in my guild, if they wish. Someone I know left her guild and made a new PvP guild with players she often PvP'd with and persuaded to join her. They're currently racking in sigils every once in a while... and GvG'ing when they can get all their members online (there are only 10 of them or so last I checked).

I keep going on tangents tonight, I shall close off this post before I go further off-topic.

*BUMP*

After PvPX, I'm curious to see if any new opinions are out there, since a lot of people were playing PvP.
